1 Jul (Sat): Build a Kampung House - an ArKIDecture workshop for kids and parents

Learn about and then build a kampung house! Kids will get to see some pictures of kampung houses, then visit some real actual kampung houses. After the tour, discuss what they saw and build an ideal one themselves.

For kids aged 8 years and above.


This activity is led by Albert Liang and Lai Chee Kien.

For kids aged 8 years and above. Child must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Limited to maximum 15 kids per session.

Dates: 1 July (Sat) 3pm-6pm, also on 6 Jul (Thu) 9am-12noon
Duration: 3 hours
Venue: Uncle Lim's shop, No. 42 Pulau Ubin, opposite the Wayang Stage, 3 min walk from Ubin Jetty (map).
Cost: $15 per child per session. No charge for accompanying adult.

What happened ...

Kids had a great time!


First they got an introduction to kampung houses, using Lat!


Then they got to visit a real Kampung house.

After which, the kids try their hand at building a kampung house.
